Talk:Kakori Shaikh
It seems a succinct and brief introduction to the work providing basis and explaining the current form of the online genealogical records of identified group of people.64.230.127.73 10:24, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- So succinct that it contains no information on where on earth these people come from. There are no wiki-links to provide further information. it doesn't explain why this information is notable or important. How does this research meet WP:notability? That's the type of stuff that goes in an introduction Gillyweed 10:31, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
It explains the origin of these people ... the patriarchs came from the Famous banu Hashim Clan of the Tribe Al-Quraysh of Hejaz (Present Day Saudia Arabia), Any body who is familiar with word Islam and its Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him), should know what does it means. Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) was the great grandson of Hashim, the patriarch of Banu Hashim clan. There are over one billion Muslims in the world and this information is of great interest to them and anybody who want to study the lineage of the Prophet of Islam and his relatives like his cousin Ali and his uncle Al-Abbas. This information is already in the article entitled Hashemites. Now three internal links are provided.
- It does say that but way down in the text. Are you familiar with WP? If so, you will note that the best articles have a short one or two sentence introduction that provides the context for the article. This article does not. I need to read right through to glean an understanding of what it is about. Perhaps you could add an introductory sentence that says who these people are, where they come from and why it is important. Please note that I am not saying that WP shouldn't have this article. It should, but it needs improving. I would have a go at it myself but I don't know enough about it to do so. May I also state that WP is written for everyone - not simply Muslims. WP is inclusionist and not exclusionist. This information should be of interest to Jews, Christians, Atheists, Buddhists, Hindus and New Age Spriritualists. I will put the context tag back until a good introductory sentence is provided. I also believe that references are required too. Gillyweed 22:38, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
