What about at least a dead-leaf butterfly redirect?--85.220.11.109 (talk) 08:41, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Kallima inachus qtl1.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on December 13, 2013. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2013-12-13. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Thanks! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:54, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kallima inachus
Kallima inachus, also known as the Dead Leaf or Orange Oakleaf, is a nymphalid butterfly found in tropical Asia. The species uses mimicry, resembling a dead leaf when it closes its wings, in order to avoid predators.Photo: Quartl

terminology

[edit]

As this is WP why is there so much in-house terminology that the reader needs to refer to the glossary. As an "encyclopedia" the language needs to be accessible & at least paraphrasing would help. Manytexts (talk) 09:58, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not the only creature known as the Dead Leaf Moth.
