Water tower
[edit]The Wasserturm (water tower) is no water tower in the sense of the article, but a part of the city fortifications. It is only named "Wasserturm" because it is, in contrast to all other towers in Lucerne, standing in the water. It does not, and never did, serve as a water reservoir!
I also doubt the given height a lot. The tower is never 140 m tall, rather 140 ft (~ 42 m). --178.192.166.119 (talk) 18:56, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Build date
[edit]Shouldn't the age and date be mentioned in the introduction, since they are arguably the most important facts about the bridge. If I hadn't come here to read about the oldest wooden bridge in the world, I'd have started reading it and thought "oh, it's some old wooden bridge with paintings in it", and I might not have even gotten as far as the end of the introduction where it finally mentions "BTW, it's also the oldest wooden bridge in Europe". The date it was built and the fact that it's the oldest bridge should be stated within the first three sentences, in my opinion,
