Cancelled?
[edit]According to a few animators who worked on the project. It's also removed from Disney's website. Here a source with some character design : http://flipbooksnstuff.blogspot.com/2010/01/king-of-elves.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.49.65.104 (talk) 21:24, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- TVTropes has stated it was canceled too! WHAT'S GOING ON?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.101.36.177 (talk) 00:22, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- As of now, no reliable source has stated anything about the project's status, either for or against. Walt Disney Animation Studios' website has also removed references to Rapunzel because the film was renamed Tangled, so it's being updated. Barring any reliable source info, we fall to what is cited ... the film is scheduled for release sometime in 2012. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 00:44, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]This is a bit premature, I think, even though I love PKD. Bearian (talk) 00:32, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
What species of Elves will be featured in this movie?
[edit]As of course there are different kinds of elves, like Tolkien and Victorian for example. And as for that, out of the many kinds of elves there are, what species will be featured in this upcoming future movie? Please answer this and thans if you ever do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.50.244.153 (talk) 02:18, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- They will be Keebler Elves, and the film's title refers to King Ernie. Fudge sticks all around! And once the film is released, we'll be better able to include that into the article as fact.SpikeJones (talk) 03:01, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

#?
[edit]If Rapunzel is the 49th and this is the 51th, then what is the 50th? That seems like a big number. are they keeping some big Mickey centered epic under their hat for THIS long? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.93.242.200 (talk) 00:39, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
- To answer an older question ... The Princess and the Frog is the 49th animated feature, which would make Rapunzel #50 and King of the Elves #51, presuming the release schedule doesn't change. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 19:09, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
What type of animation?
[edit]Is this going to be computer animated or hand-drawn? --Jasonbres (talk) 16:38, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- it will be CGI characters, but with live action backgrounds. Kinda like how they did Dinosaur.--Pixaranimator (talk) 18:07, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Should this be deleted?
[edit]I know there haven't been any Wiki approved sites that confirm the cancellation for King of the Elves, but I mean it's been about a year since we have gotten any information about the film at all. This and The Snow Queen should both be deleted. 67.77.66.35 (talk) 14:47, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Both King of the Elves and The Snow Queen appear to have been shelved, with such information appearing in reasonably reliable sources, I believe. However, there is a question as to whether "shelved" means "we have no intention of doing this ever" or "shelved" means "it's not working out at the moment, but we'll come back to it." Disney has often done the latter, so pending something truly definitive, the articles should probably remain. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 14:54, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Release date
[edit]2012 will have 2 Pixar films, meaning that it makes no sense to predict a 2012 release for this film. For 2013, it's possible, but Reboot Ralph is more likely based on Wikipedia's list of Disney animated feature films article. Perhaps 2014 makes sense. Any comments?? Georgia guy (talk) 13:27, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- Since we don't have an official announcement from Disney stating when the film is to be released (if ever), any release date talk is speculation, something inappropriate for an encyclopedia, and discussion of when it may be released would make this a forum, something Wikipedia is not. So, until something reliable appears stating the film's release date, the only mention in the article should be "upcoming" or "to be determined." --McDoobAU93 15:29, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- Now, however, the article says Christmas 2012. Recent news, however, reveals Reboot Ralph will be released in the fall of 2012 (do a Google search if you don't believe me.) This puts 2 Disney films so close together that I'll be surprised if there's no news about this film's release. Georgia guy (talk) 00:18, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
