Kirlia/Cosmo resemblance

[edit]

I believe it is inappropriate to include a trivia entry in the Kirlia and Cosmo articles stating they resemble each other. A resemblance is a matter of opinion and original research. As indicated by WP:OR original research has no place on Wikipedia.

Put it another way, if arbitrary resemblances were allowed to appear on this site as encyclopedic content, Wikipedia would become very bloated indeed. We'd have to connect the Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal articles, Maleficent and the dragon from Shrek, as well as Cid from Final Fantasy 8 and Robin Williams. And these are just from the entertainment sphere. What if we decide the biology articles should include resemblances too, and list a bunch of resemblances in the Norway Spruce article. The article would get very long, that's for certain; I personally think the Norway Spruce looks like virtually every tree I've ever seen.

As a matter of personal opinion, I do believe that Kirlia bears a slight similarity to Cosmo. But I vigorously object to this information being included in their respective Wikipedia articles, as it is a matter of opinion and original research. It is not encyclopedic information, and Wikipedia is not the place for random tibits of info. Please see WP:NOT#OR and WP:NOT#INFO Bhamv 11:48, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WTF!

[edit]

@_@. Why does Kirlia have TWO articles, one in the Ralts Family Line and one on this page?! I am starting to get confused. -I PWN U ALL 04:04, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The "external link" to smogon.com is dead. I could just kill the link, but that might be going too far. I'm still no expert on how to do this stuff. Furthermore, I bet it's really just moved on smogon.com; I just don't know where to find it there. Nimbex 23:29, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See if you can get to smogon.com first without 404ing. if you can't, see Wikipedia:External links#What can be done with a dead external link and remove it as demonstrated there. -Jeske (v^_^v) 03:50, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
