"one Seymour Duncan JB humbucking pick-up set diagonal to calibrate for the narrower string spacing."

I thought the pickup was slanted to better cover the -wider- string spacing of the Floyd Rose bridge compared with the JB's narrower Gibson-type pole spacing? Isn't this why Eddie originally had to install his humbucker on a slant, to accomodate the wider Fender string spacing?

did Eddie really -play- the Baretta?[edit]

"The most notable player of the Kramer Baretta is Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen[1]"

I know it's picky, but I think it should perhaps be noted that Eddie didn't actually play the Baretta, just appeared in commercials with it. His 'Hot for Teacher', for example, guitar was actually a modified Pacer Special.

From Vintage Kramer:

"Eddie never endorsed the Baretta in terms of playing it on stage, his 5150 was the closest thing to a Baretta that he ever played (unless you count the Kramer Ripley)."
