2006 series[edit]

This article is pretty much done until Media Works releases more info or the new Kujiun anime. -- User:AsukaSeagull

I would appreciate it if when more information comes out with a potentially new character list, that the list of characters from the original OAV or OVA stay within the article. I'm fine if the list is abridged somewhat but I ask of the editors to keep the list at least. --User:Nsmith4658

I'm cool with that, yo. In fact, because the anime and the OVA are clearly going to be two dramatically different stories, I think this page should (and probably will) be renamed Kujibiki Unbalance (OVA) while the 2006 anime will go to this page (Kujibiki Unbalance). -- User:AsukaSeagull
I think a split isn't a bad idea, but I think to put it solely in terms of the anime is a bit misleading, since it also exists within the Genshiken manga (and I believe as several light novels based on that), as well as a manga adaptation based on the new TV series. Perhaps it would be better to delineate the two articles based on whether they're derived from the source within Genshiken, or part of the new 2006 version (which is set apart by its radically different character designs)? The titles themselves (Kujibiki Unbalance vs. Kujibiki♥Unbalance) would seem to support a split along these lines, so that's my personal preference. --Julian Grybowski 15:40, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Eps summary for eps 26 is incorrect I think...[edit]

BEFORE EDIT"Kujibiki Unbalance" "Kujibiki Anbaransu" (くじびきアンバランス) 26 (N/A) Unproduced. In Genshiken, this episode is postponed due to a typhoon, and it has not yet aired as of the end of volume 4. It is later suggested that it is not as much of a "wrap-up" as the penultimate episode. The very end of the episode can be seen in episode 12 of Genshiken. It has the group trying to persuade Tokino to come and join them at the foot of the school gates, suggesting that they perhaps won the student council presidency. As it is a 30 second clip played in the background, it is hard to judge.BEFORE EDIT

However the scene thats being described is seen in eps 25, not 26. eps 26 was never shown in Genshiken 12. The group was persuading Tokino to REJOIN their group and FINISH the competition. it does NOT suggest that they WON the the finals or anything. I'm going to delete this information, but I'm keeping the the previous entry here if someone feels I'm incorrect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by InitialXERO (talkcontribs) 19:04, 30 December 2006

I think you're right about this. Deleting the offending lines. --Julian Grybowski 01:18, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Genshiken wrapup?[edit]

On the seventh episode on Genshiken, the second season, a clip was showing with the graduation and the wedding. Is it safe to assume that it is part of the last episode of the OVA? 71.2.210.73 (talk) 02:00, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In terms of the in-universe series, this is not part of the 26-episode TV anime (whose 26th episode, though not aired due to a typhoon, is eventually deemed "not much of a conclusion" by the Genshiken when it finally makes it to DVD), but a separate OVA released nearly two years after the end of the anime whose story it concludes (going by the anime continuity, of course, where the series is already on-air at the beginning of Sasahara's freshman year). In the manga, the OVA does not exist (these scenes being represented instead with panels from the Kujian manga), or if it does, it would be released after the end of the manga's events factoring in the year-plus shift in alignment of the first and second Kujian TV anime, which both occur in-universe at different points between the Genshiken manga and anime. In short, it's perhaps worth a mention, but it's going to be complicated to explain how this fits in to the world of its progenitor series. --Julian Grybowski (talk) 05:49, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Student Council roles?[edit]

In the anime I'm seeing right now, it shows Enomoto as President, Tokino as vice-president, and Tachibana as secretary. All from Episode 1... But on the page its mixed up... Could someone explain this?--Hitsuji Kinno (talk) 22:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They're different continuities which bear no relation to each other in terms of plot. For the show you're watching, see Kujibiki Unbalance (2006 series). --Julian Grybowski (talk) 08:03, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
