Move

[edit]

@162 etc. and Anthony Appleyard: I don't quite understand today's move. Both Lebret Eagles and Louis-Joseph Lebret are only partial title matches, neither seem to be commonly known as just "Lebret" - so why is the village not the primary topic? Lennart97 (talk) 18:58, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lebret, Saskatchewan is not particulary notable, nor are any people with this last name, so I see it best resolved as a dab page, per WP:NOPRIMARY. Generally, the preference with WP:CANPLACE is when in doubt, disambiguate. However, per WP:PTM, you could interpret it as Lebret being the primary town article, with the rest instead listed at a Lebret (surname) page. I don't really see this being better, though. 162 etc. (talk) 19:36, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I do think the village is probably primary, but I agree that having a Lebret surname page isn't really worth it, and the low pageviews of all articles involved mean it isn't really a big deal anyway, so let's leave it like this. Thanks for your reply. Lennart97 (talk) 20:17, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
