Which Lee is it?

[edit]

I think these two articles Lee Bay and Lee, Devon are about the same place. Interestingly though there's mid-Devon Lee, [City/Town/Village&searchp=newsearch.srf&mapp=newmap.srf this Lee], [Town&searchp=newsearch.srf&mapp=newmap.srf and Lee Bay] Although on the map it's also referred to as Lee, however us former locals always say Lee Bay, however when referring to Lee, you often refer to Lee and Lincombe, which is an adjacent village.

There's also a whole host of other Lee's, 'Lee Bay' is referred to as a 'water feature'.

Exactly. I first looked at this article when creating the Ilfracombe Branch Line article, as I wanted to say which was closest station for Lee. (The 'Lee' I know is on the 'back route' between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe.) At the time, both articles said little more than "Lee is a small village near Ilfracombe in North Devon.", so there was little I could do to resolve the matter.
Since then, Lee Bay has been developed considerably, and I decided to take the plunge. I got the coords for this Lee from the WP gazeteer, and modified it accordingly. Having looked at the OS map on-line, if this is the Lee near Berrynarbor, then it is hardly large enough to warrant a WP page of its own.
Perhaps with your greater local knowledge you could sort out the mess: this page could become a redirect to Lee Bay if they're the same place...
