Chasing Lepus Rabbit
[edit]The rabbit is clearly being chased by the big dog, Canis Major. Whether the dog belongs to the hunter is not clear. SyntheticET (talk) 12:22, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Dubious asterism
[edit]Lepus has never looked like a quadrilateral to me. (Delta, according to Norton's, is the star north of Gamma.) It's more shapely than that. Rothorpe (talk) 18:18, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Chinese Asterisms
[edit]I was looking at the Chinese Asterisms from the 28 lunar mansions.
In the White Tiger of the West, the Three Stars mansion contains Orion and Lepus.
Why are the asterisms of Lepus named excrement and toilet?? I find it almost offensive and yet at the same time funny. It reminds me of the terms "Leprosy" and "Royal Flush". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blazeitup52 (talk • contribs) 04:08, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- I think it's better to talk about this in the Chinese Constellations article then here. MasterWolf0928-Æthelwulf (talk) 15:34, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
