A more obvious photo?

One of the references of this article has a picture of Funtwo with his face revealed. So, should we use that photo? I would've done it myself but I don't know the license tag to use...That's why I asked. Pathbinder 14:12, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Any photo from a news organization is usually copyrighted and not fair use unless stated otherwise. The screenshot of the video was added because it was reasonably helpful and could be tagged in a way that did not run into problems.--Ianmacm 16:13, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Is his name Jeong-Hyun Lim or Lim Jeong-Hyun? There is a video on YouTube where they did a piece on him on CNN and they have it as Lim Jeong-Hyun. So, can anyone verify the correct name? Bwd234 17:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

according to Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Korean), the default form would be Lim Jeong-Hyun unless he has personally expressed a preference for the other format. 209.204.172.102 00:02, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

This individual is known for one cover of someone else's arrangement of a classical piece. Does he pass the notability criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia? Shawnc 04:02, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

there must be hundreds of artists that have played songs more successfully than the artist who originally wrote the song. So yes, he deserves a inclusion on wikipedia, why not. The article sucks however. (this comment falsly signed by 81.62.227.13)

If anyone else can play like this after six years; of guitar, he too, should be in Wiki.

  • LOL, it isn't that difficult. have you learned any musical instrument? 71.105.109.197 03:11, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Changed the information about Jeong-Hyun Lim's "concert" in Washington. Judging from the NY Times article, it seems most likely to me that somebody was confused by the performance put on by Alfonso. Unless somebody has concrete evidence to the contrary, anyway. (There was no reference) TheStripèdOne 16:03, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

"qoute: '* LOL, it isn't that difficult. have you learned any musical instrument? 71.105.109.197 03:11, 2 January 2007 (UTC)' lets see you play it dude. 67.161.97.160 07:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Profession?

I've googled around a bit, and I can see hints that Lim is a pro gamer, but I can't find a solid source. Anyone? --Slashme 15:58, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Should be nominated for deletion

The article is in a horrible state and moderately high rankings on YouTube is not a reason for inclusion in Wikipedia. --70.51.232.12 01:31, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

I dissagree, it needs improved, but not deleted. It's not beacause of the YouTube ranks, it's beacause this guy is probably one of the best (if not the best) guitar players in the world right now. I'm of course willing help with this article. Supra guy 20:37, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

I also dissagree, this should NOT be deleted. This guy is extremely talented and deserves mention. Hell, he deserves a recording contract! Bwd234 15:23, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Other Youtube famous people have articles about them too. The only quirk I have with this article is that its a bit tiny. Ubershock 12:16, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I disagree as well, why would you delete this? I just needs some work. This guy's amazing! Igob8a 16:17, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

I also disagree. He is not included in Wikipedia only due to his rankings, but also his talent. Have you seen him play? He's...just amazing. Revy D. 23:16, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

I'd like to disagree as well, and I believe that the combination of his remarkable musical talent combined with his notoriety as a Youtube phenom (and there aren't very many Youtube videos as notable as his; most of the ones that rank as high have wikipedia articles as well) is far beyond the notability requirements. rockout 15:45, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

lol, whoever says he's "one of the best in the world" is just ignorant. Obvsly you don't play guitar or haven't played to the point when u can distinguish different levels. In the guitar idol competition 2008 for young talented guitarists (lots of them on youtube), funtwo can't even make it into the second round. Guitarists like mattrach, gueva, cessar... are all better technically than funtwo. And of course they're still amateur guitarists. Now if you wanna name the top shredders and neoclassical guitarists in the world, type in michael angelo batio, rusty cooley, buckethead, yngwie malmsteen, steve vai, jason becker... Oh they're all better than funtwo in every possible aspect :D —Preceding unsigned comment added by Taxxon (talkcontribs) 22:28, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Do you really have to be so elitist? lol Shiggy (talk) 08:16, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

I too, am strongly disagreeing. It really doesn't matter what level he is at. Look at all these people he has inspired. He's proven that you can become successful even if you do something as a hobby. He might not be one of the best in the world, but he has become someone who has the potential to light up all peoples hearts to try something new. I'd also like to add that he has been on numerous News channels on Television. Besides, music isn't about comparing. Its about the pure enjoyment and entertainment reflecting on your performance. So what if he plays a few notes sloppy, in his head he is probably thinking positive. Also, for being self-taught for six years is quite a big accomplishment. GtrHarm0nix (talk) 00:53, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

This is a completely unneeded discussion. He meets standards for notability (see Wikipedia:Notability) and thus this article will stay.  Aaron  ►  03:04, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

YouTube link

I restored the link to the YouTube video of Canon Rock, since there is no blanket ban in this area (see [1]). In this case, the YouTube link is a reasonable illustration of the article, and is nothing that an intelligent person could not find very quickly with their own internet search. --♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 17:27, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

As it is the original video that led to his fame, Green tickY Supported.  Aaron  ►  03:05, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

YouTube Account

It's not confirmed by any notable third party. Unless funtwo states, in a real-life interview, it cannot be added. You can add it back once there's enough to prove its veracity.  Aaron  ►  02:58, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Additionally, the description in the video the user uploaded here suggests that he or she is not actually funtwo.  Aaron  ►  03:01, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
It seems people keep adding it back in. Stop.  Aar  ►  03:04, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

NPOV

I changed the line..."he had the honor or playing with Joe Satriani" to "he performed with Joe Satriani" to promote a more neutral point of view. Not everyone thinks Satriani is the best, I think hes great, but saying he had the honor is pushing it.

bla bla bla, he doesnt have to be the best, but its still an honor, like it would be an honor to play with vai, petrucci, morse o whoever of those guys on the top of the line --95.88.230.190 (talk) 10:22, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Austin?

Is Lim Jeong-hyun also known as Austin in the second paragraph of Other Activities? Someone should put the name in the background info if that is true.123.255.20.57 (talk) 14:38, 18 July 2009 (UTC)bob21
