Computer Applications

In the context of computing, a "line-of-business application" is one of the set of critical computer applications perceived as vital to running an enterprise.

This is not my understanding of the term "line-of-business computer application". In the organisations I've worked in, a LOB application refers to a system which is used only within one corporate division, or line-of-business. An "enterprise application" is one which is used across a company, or many divisions.
