Work to Do

Slayers now, finally, has a character list, but a lot of work is left to do. It needs reformatting, sorting, and a better lead. Most of all rewriting to fix the issue of in-universe writing and excessive minor plot details, and references, lots of references. I highly recommend looking at List of Naruto characters for inspiration and guidance as it is a featured character list. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 17:32, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

This is only a partial list

There are many more - and even some more main characters (of the novels). The list as it is is based mostly on the first anime series. --Captain Obvious and his crime-fighting dog (talk) 17:59, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, the place to start is with all the individual character articles. Evaluate, as noted above, and merge those that need them. Additional notable characters can be added later. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:30, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

>>I would remind you to take care in the creation of this page if it is ever to replace the individual character sections. You've taken a slash-and-burn approach to the information found in the originals, there is a difference between streamlining and mangling. I would also recommend that the information present in the now deleted Setting and Magic section be included elsewhere, or the page restored. The unique spells found in Slayers are quite important to the storyline, the Dragon Slave is practically a minor character itself. - Anonymous —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.189.246.98 (talk) 17:05, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Gourry

Let's try to keep it professional. These suppositions about ADD and parenthesized side-remarks about Gourry's recollective capabilities aren't necessary. Just keep it simple and to the point without making it sound like you're interjecting your opinion about the character. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.242.94.138 (talk) 15:38, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

The entire page has this issue. Dandy Sephy (talk) 15:52, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Done: well, as much as it can be. I'm still working my way through but most of the prose is copyedited. —2macia22 (talk) 22:26, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Super Explosive Demon Story

This page is only listing and describing the anime version of some characters. For instance, Phibrizzo in the manga took the body of the young girl Elena (and not a boy) and he/she devoured the soul of the human girl. Phibrizzo did also inject of him/herself in Lina when she entered the city of ghosts so s/he could kill Lina at any time, which s/he did when Lina casted the Giga Slave and traded her life with Lord of Nightmares. S/he did also strangulate a little bit the sister of Elena (instead of killing Martina in the anime). Elena's character was also totally forgotten in this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.180.75.26 (talk) 04:55, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Citations - Why?

Most of the 'citations needed' are impossible to get citation of as they are clearly stated during the course of an episode of a show. For example... Lina DOES go into a fit every time her sister is mentioned during the episodes of the anime. But I can't cite a website that 'proves' this because the reference is in video form not text form. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.209.209.129 (talk) 21:27, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Template:Cite_video. Definitely not impossible. Dandy Sephy (talk) 21:35, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
If you look at examples like the List of Naruto characters page, it appears that volumes or episodes can be used as direct references... I'm focusing on rewriting prose and I have no experience with formatting references, but I'd recommend that someone with experience doing these go through and rewrite all episode references to this format. It shouldn't be hard to check which episodes each detail occurs or is revealed in. —2macia22 (talk) 22:23, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
