To list or not ?

I had a comment about the Algal Cultures article.
I had created it under "algal cultures" to be safe, I had had some trouble trying to include list-like information in other articles and was trying to avoid that here, for some reason wikipedia doesn't seem to like lists.
I like "list of algal culture collections" better as a title, and because it's clearer, but i'm concerned that if it is made more blatant, it might be removed by some overzealous editor who does not believe lists to have a place in wikipedia. I'll leave the title alone, but if you share this concern, you might change it back.

- As I am new to Wikipedia, I noticed a lot of lists... and they seem also to be organized in categories. As you pointed out, this seems more logical, so let us leave as it and see what happens. I think the list you created is very useful.--Daniel Vaulot 05:46, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
