Perhaps we should have a definition of "Civic Organization" before we list examples. Here's a starting point: Any group of individuals organized under the umbrella of a legal entity with a goal of assisting others. The mission and vision statements of the organization define it's target audience, purpose for assistance, and method of assistance. The organizations may or maynot have political affiliations. Many operate outside the boundaries of politics, religion, race, or sexual preference. Membership in many of these organizations is controlled by a membership board which performs due diligence on potential members.
