Interstate 238[edit]

I know it's a 3-digit interstate within California, but since it is the only 3-digit primary intrastate interstate, (let me repeat: primary) could we make a notable exception for Interstate 238? --Geopgeop 07:40, 13 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

But, it's not a primary interstate. [1] --Holderca1 16:11, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Sign[edit]

On the list, I-19 is missing its sign.

Definition of "inter"[edit]

It says in the article "nothing says an Interstate has to truly be inter-state". However, according to my now-gone copy of Webster's New World Dictionary (bought sometime in the 60s IIRC), inter- means both "between different things" and "inside the same thing". Therefore, that statement should be edited.

The system is the Interstate Highway System. Most people know inter- as between. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 22:20, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure you don't mean "intra-"? Anyway, I have 2.5 years of Latin, and even back then, inter pretty much meant multiple things. I've never seen "intra" so far in Latin though. Bottom line is that the most well-known meaning of inter contradicts these routes. --Chris 00:22, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does this need to exist as a separate page?[edit]

This seems to be a bit of trivia, best mentioned in a few sentences in Interstate Highway System. --NE2 09:52, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. route table moved[edit]

Since this article covers Interstates, I moved the intrastate U.S. route table to Talk:United States Numbered Highways#Intrastate U.S. Highway table transfer. Mapsax (talk) 05:13, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
