3rd enslaving voyage (1792–1794)
[edit]According to the paragraph under the above subheading, the ship "sailed from Bristol on 3 January 1792, bound for West Africa. Lovely Lass started acquiring captives on 7 April at Cape Lahou. She then acquired some more at Anomabu. Her principal place for acquiring captives was Cape Coast Castle. She sailed from Africa on 22 November. She arrived at Kingston, Jamaica on 9 January 1794." This gives the impression that her Atlantic crossing took 13 months (1792-11-22 to 1794-01-09).Surely there is some error here? Wendigo Lake (talk) 03:00, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Windigo Lake: Good catch. She spent over a year acquiring slaves and didn't sale for the WIndies until Nov 1793, making the transatlantic voyage in about two months. Acad Ronin (talk) 03:43, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
