Talk:Luminous efficiency

I moved this page from Luminous efficacy to Luminous efficiency to make it consistent with what is in the SI Units box. Moreover, according to my dictionary the definition of efficacy suggests it is a synonym for effectiveness, whereas the definition of efficiency specifically mentions the word's use in expressing work in / results out ratios.

Misnomer

[edit]

There is no such thing as Luminous efficiency. The correct term is luminous efficacy (lumens /watt). If the SI units page says efficiency, this is wrong also.--Light current 04:20, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
