Name[edit]

MV San Demetrio not SS

No good reason. Article moved JMcC 08:57, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Shipwreck?[edit]

This article is in the shipwreck category; does anyone know why? Xyl 54 10:20, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

It was a derelict and salvage was awarded. Does a ship have to sink to be a wreck? JMcC 09:51, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

== Joe or John Boyle? ==it is John Boyle

Both a Joe and a John Boyle are mentioned... I think they're probably the same person, but I don't know which name is correct. 11:06 GMT, 11 February 2008

salvage money[edit]

My late Father, who was MN during WW2, always reckoned that the "San Demetrio" was the only case where the shipping company never argued the amount of salvage money awarded. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.138.47.12 (talk) 12:49, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
