[edit]Sounds reasonable to me. It'll need some formatting work. I say leave this up for a few days, and if no one opposes, I'll go ahead and fix it. Izuko 01:41, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Sounds reasonable to me, too. djharrity

- Thanks, that's interesting. The article should mention this information somewhere. Danceswithzerglings (talk) 14:38, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
that is very interesting currently only official rating is just "MM" + THE RANK as per the 1998 Blue Jacket Manual Brahmdut (talk) 02:36, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
I challenge how valid Ref1 is it is bad information as far as I am concerned I served eight years in the USN as a MM Brahmdut (talk) 02:39, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Various machinist's mate ratings?
[edit]I was an MM for ten years in the 1990's including teaching MM 'A' school at Great Lakes for most of 1997. I've never heard of most of these. Maybe there should be clarification as to which are currently used and which are historic. Also, which are just NECs and would never be listed as someone's rating on paper. For example, being an instructor I was NEC 9502, but I was never referred to as MMI (Machinist's Mate Instructor) and anything like that. Eric Cable ! Talk 13:13, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
