question about metallurgy of copper (and diorite also)[edit]

If there are extant copper items from before 2300bc at Ur, could chemistry or nuclear chemistry determine where the ore was mined, provided no mixing of different ores took place in the item?Rich 06:17, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

question about Magan <-> mangan[edit]

As places where often named for the goods they provided, is it possible that Magan (wherever it was) was a source of mangan? — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 18:50, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
