[edit]I think there is too much useful information here to be merged with Malthus.
- I concur. There are a large number of cited references here. However, there's very little in the way of what the Malthusian growth model is. Someone who knows should fix that. goofyheadedpunk

[edit]The "e" in the malthus formula needs to be explained as all the other denotations are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.32.68.230 (talk) 11:49, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
- It's just the number e. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_(mathematical_constant) 65.12.163.209 (talk) 23:08, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]This so called Malthusian growth model is really the exponential growth model as used in economics, biology, demography, and several other disciplines. It is well explained in several other articles not connected to this one. This one seems to have few facts. It seems to be here only because someone thought it was nice to have something with the name malthus on it. It is an over interpretation of the title of the one cited article which was written for a specific purpose and limited scope. If this really is called the Malthusian model by anyone else please write me a reply and make sure that I see it. Otherwise I nominate this article for deletion as having little or no value not found in other articles about population growth and demography. 74.77.123.229 (talk) 21:37, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
- I agree and would be open seeing this merge with exponential growth model. Some more of the information could perhaps be added to the main Malthus article as well. —Zujine|talk 05:55, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
