General
[edit]This is hopefully the first of several articles on Hermetic Kabbalah. There seems to be some dissatisfaction in some of the main Kabbalah articles because they do not stay within the scope Jewish mysticism. I understand where some folks might be coming from so this is my attempt at keeping the peace while still covering a valid area of knowledge. <Puck Puck 12:30, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
I'm aware that my use of tables for trying to lock down a fixed layout breaks all the rules, but I'm attempting keep the format as close to the original as possible, particularly for printing purposes. <Puck 21:27, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
OwenX, no I did not change shin to the pointed version on purpose, it was probably from copying text from and earlier version while trying to fix the wrap problems for low resolutions. Thanks. I noticed on your edit you also changed the font size in a couple of places, changed the text alignment attribute on a couple of cells and removed the Category:Kabbalah tag. Was that intentional or just a byproduct of trying to edit the monstrosity that this table is? I'm not complaining about anything, I'm just trying to understand, I appreciate your input and assistance. I have to apologize for code again, but I think the ugliness is necessary to simulate the format that Mathers used. <Puck 01:20, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
- This is a mystery to me! The only change I did was the shin; I have no idea how the other changes got there! I'll try to revert them carefully. Owen× ☎ 01:32, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
- No biggie, it is a G-d awful mess. <Puck 01:38, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
- OK, I figured out the mystery. Apparently, I used this older version as the baseline for my changes, for some reason. (And I was only on my second beer!) Owen× ☎ 01:43, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

Book reference template
[edit]I'm not satisfied with the Book reference template. I may end up doing them manually. <Puck 12:30, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
Page Title
[edit]Not meaning to be picky or anything :) but the title of this page really should be "Mathers' Table" not "Mathers table". I don't know how to rename a page so I will leave this for someone else... Morgan Leigh | Talk 01:56, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I think the title is OK. The person who created the table was named Mathers. If he had been named Smith and it were called the Smith table or if I had titled it the Hebrew table I don't think the issue would have come up. --◀Pucktalk▶ 01:20, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
