A map for the Infobox

@Prosperosity Kia ora, can you give me some pointers about how best to get a map into the Infobox of this new article I have created ? Ideally, I would like something like the map in this article Ōpārara River, but I don't know how to do this. Can you point me to any guidance about how to do this ?. @Marshelec: Sure thing. The first step is linking an OSM way or relation to the Wikidata item of the stream - I've just done this now by selecting the three lines that were representing the stream (the ways) and created an overarching relation, where one of the fields pointed to the Wikidata item for the stream. At about 12PM tomorrow the databases will automatically update and you'd be able to generate an interactive map for this stream.

I do see a small issue though - the origin of the stream is slightly different on OSM compared to the Gazetteer (OSM suggests the southern stream in Trentham Memorial Park is the Mawaihakona, the Gazetteer suggests it's the northern branch). I assume the Gazetteer got this one wrong, so I left it as-is. --Prosperosity (talk) 08:40, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
