Feedback

[edit]

@Gyno.Janine: Nice start on your draft.

  • Right now, your lead doesn't summarise all the main points of the article. You say what it is, but you don't give a sense of why or how. (I know the other sections cover this, but the lead should too.)
  • I would flesh out the "Medical uses" section. Bullet points are good for reminding someone of what they already know, or focussing a talk, but if the reader has to click through for every point, it's hard to read. One way to do this might be to have an paragraph at the start of the section that explains it broadly, and then use the bullet points to list (and link to) the specifics.
    • From a formatting perspective, sources don't go in section headers - they go after the content they support. Even if they support the entire section when you write it, someone might add more later, and then it would be unclear what parts are supported by the source.
  • The same goes for the "Options" section - it's currently too telegraphed to be much help. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:35, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Ian

Additional feedback

[edit]

@Gyno.Janine: This looks pretty good to me. I think your first two paragraphs are a bit long, and would be more readable if they were split in two, but that's just a minor thing. I think the rest is good. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:24, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ian, Thanks---I've attempted to publish the page, moving it from my sandbox2, using the info on how to publish a new page, but when I follow those instructions, I get a message “This page could not be moved.” I can’t figure out how/why. The only conflicting page is on extended cycle combined hormonal contraceptive—so when you search menstrual suppression, it redirects to extended cycle hormonal contraceptive. That page should be a subset of my new page, and a search for menstrual suppression should go to my new page. I think that this is the reason I can’t publish/move it out of sandbox, but I’m not sure. I've also messaged Elysia on this. Can you help with moving it? Or tell me what the problem is? Thanks, Gyno.Janine (talk) 09:32, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Moved content from menstruation

[edit]

I have moved content from menstruation. I hope I have put everything in the right place and not introduced too much repetition. I hope that someone who is watching this page can check and make further improvements, thanks. EMsmile (talk) 03:59, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
