The contents of the Mesaverde Formation page were merged into Mesaverde Group on 7 May 2020 and it now redirects there. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history.
A user added the following text:
"The formation includes various formations in USA such as Piceance, Powder River, Uinta, Washakie and Wind River."
This implies that either these formations are members of the Mesaverde or that the Mesaverde is a Group which includes them. In fact, they are all Structural basins in which the Mesaverde may occur.
