Why is the Pokémon being called both Emurit and Emirith throughout the page? Which is the correct romanization? Timekeeper 16:23, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Emurit Dalma?!

[edit]

I've heard that Emurit is based on pirates of the carribean 2's Tia Dalma. can anyone confirm or disprove this for me? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.184.242.93 (talk) 14:24, 21 October 2006

Okay, WTH. Pokémon (especially the Japanese names) does NOT equal Pirates of the Carribean. So that disprovfes it. Sign your comments. Timekeeper 13:58, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What's up with the messed-up Japanese names in every Pokémon entry?

[edit]

In the little info table on the right, the Japanese name should be the direct transliteration of the kana, not someone's idea of what they *think* the Japanese creator were trying to go for in English: Emuritto, not Emurit. And that goes for all pokémon articles: Myuu or Myū, not Mew; Myuutsuu or Myūtsū, not Mewtwo. In the Japanese name section for EVERY pokémon, the entry needs to be the same as in the Japanese name section of this article: List of Pokémon by name. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ebil-jebus (talkcontribs) 12:56, 17 November 2006.

If any Pokemon has an English name, it is, *gasp* going to be listed in English because this is the *gasp* English Wikipedia. Just get a grip man. Sign your comments. Timekeeper 13:59, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As I understand it, those names listed as Japanese in the infobox are supposed to be the official romanizations of the Japanese names - the ones Nintendo copyrights for the Pokémon.

So then what is the issue here? English names will be used where (justifiably) applicable....because this is the English Wikipedia page. Is Ebil saying that English names are being improperly applicated? Timekeeper 03:05, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lake Verity has been confirmed on one of the IGN English videos of D/P. This is the link. [1]--Mr. Duckie 17:31, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

English Name Editing?

[edit]

Wikipedia, or someone, is not yet allowing the editing of the English names of this Pokemon, and I believe the same goes with all the other 4th generation Pokemon that don't already have that part edited. I tried to edit all the "Emrit"s into "Mesprit", the newly-found English name, but it was not verified or accepted.

Maybe, to be safe, they're just waiting for these kinds of things until the English version of the game comes out in America...—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wad11656 (talkcontribs) 23:34, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

We are, and I believe Emrit is semi-protected to keep anons and new accounts (i.e. those less than four days old) from editing. Besides, where's yopur source? (Serebii does not count)-Jeske (v^_^v) 23:36, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And why doesn't Serebii count? Do you have anything to suggest they aren't reputable? Mike 23:44, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes - they don't have transparency. In other words, we cannot determine who or what their source is. -Jeske (v^_^v) 00:10, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you might want to check page histories to see who's doing what and possible explanations of those actions in their edit summaries. – mcy1008 (talk) 01:06, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, please, I have more trust in Serebii's information than Wikipedia's. coughcoughEssJaycoughcouh...Timekeeper 04:30, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

what did I say?

[edit]

hem? I was right... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 201.43.12.163 (talk) 16:28, 23 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

And? Just because Serebii was correct doesn't make it reliable, particularly since it has no transparency.-Jeske (v^_^v) 19:34, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Magenta

[edit]

Mesprit's color seems close to magenta. Starts with an M. Azelf is Azure and idk or care about Uxie. Anyways..valid conclusion?68.185.192.83 02:52, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Off subject here, but still something that should be mentioned, Mesprit seems to be like Suicune in Crystal, taking an active intrest in the player so to speak.68.185.192.83 02:56, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The color thing is the Pokemon equivalent of Nostradamus' September 11, 2001 predictions - only sought after the fact. -Jeske (v^_^v) 03:12, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
