Talk:Metal Slug X
Drop Shot isn't a dropout...
[edit]Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "unusable" a bit harsh on the Drop Shot weapon? I've had the chance to use it a few times and found that it jumps over some obstacles and hits one or more enemies hiding behind said obstacle. Its lackluster range when shot upwards can also be offset when the player jumps towards an enemy, much like a close-ranged strike, albeit increasing the risk of player death. If anything, this particular weapon is more of a technical item fit for players accustomed to most types of game weapon trajectory to use than "unusable". --58.108.22.244 (talk) 09:31, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
No need to merge
[edit]Metal slug X is different enough from metal slug 2 to warrent a seperate artcile, IMO. Future sections are going to include developer history and such. Metal slug X also has ports, while metal slug 2 does not. --larsinio 21:10, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Metal Slug X is based on Metal Slug 2, however it is "tweaked" in quite a few ways and is much more than a simple "remix" of the previous version. I've played all the "Slugs" from 1 through 5, so am pretty familiar with the series. My vote is that MS 2 and MS X stay separate. --Sirimiri 03:38, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
- second that. Eliashc 11:46, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Marco?!?!
[edit]What is up with your Marco obsession?! He isn't the only character ever made! What about Eri and Fio? Come on, change the screenshot or add some new ones! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.173.47.254 (talk • contribs)
Metal Slug Type-R
[edit]Some anonymous user added a small part on the Metal Slug Type-R under the New Features sub-section. While most of it is pretty true, and I have made changes where appropriate, I have never defeated the Mission 3 boss using the "Golden Metal Slug". Can somebody please check if the player gets 300 000 points for defeating the Mission 3 boss with the "Golden Metal Slug"? -- Altiris Exeunt 05:33, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, you do. I just did it on Xbox AND the arcade. Don't worry about it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.166.78.42 (talk • contribs)
