Relationship to TTP
[edit]I just removed this line, sourced to Dorland's:
- It has been described as equivalent to thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. (Reference: "microangiopathic hemolytic anemia" at Dorland's Medical Dictionary)
While the underlying mechanism of TTP involves microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, the two terms are not synonymous. --David Iberri (talk) 18:52, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
