  • All in all, this article does a pretty good job of being accessible, for a technical subject. I have just one question: What is considered "recently extinct"? What are the parameters?

Thanks for reviewing. "Recently extinct" I would assume to mean during the Holocene (last 10,000 years; indeed, Recent redirects to Holocene). The supporting sentence from the source says "M. macpheei is so far the only species of Tenrecidae known to have become extinct in recent geological history." I linked "recent".
