General Observations[edit]

There is a lot on the old station with light detail on the new. I would ask that you beef up, clarify some things, increase some detail and then move a couple of things around. I guess if the old station was in constant use for the last 50 years, it would be one thing, but it doesn’t seem like it was. I think there is some good information here but it does need some work and I hope you’ll continue to work on it.

Lead[edit]

So the second paragraph of the lead doesn’t really fit well. Rather than just jump into “17 Mile House station opened in 1864”, I think the reader needs some context. You could start with “The station opened in 2002 as part of BART’s extension of the Antioch line, but its history dates to 1864 when banker Darius Ogden Mills deeded a part of his land to build a railway station on the site.” Just something like that to help a reader understanding.

While I am at it, the first paragraph may need some work. Is this served by one line or two? Looks like two to me. I think a better description would be not that it’s a terminus for BART. Lots of stations are termini for BART. It’s the terminus for the BART Richmond–Daly City/Millbrae and the Antioch–SFO/Millbrae lines.

History[edit]

The article focuses a lot on the old station, but with regard to the current station. When did construction start? Were there any significant problems/delays?

Was there no service there from 1974 to 2003? Also, in history, it states that the station opened in 2003 while the lead says 2002.

Service[edit]

What are the service times? Reading through the Richmond line page, I think this station is not always the final stop. While this isn’t a directory or a travel guide I don’t think it’s a completely irrelevant detail.
