Places to do business citatiob[edit]

Is in the 'Centre for Cities' report, if someone else has time to do it. I don't at the moment. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 19:45, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unitary authority event?[edit]

The article doesn't say when or how Unitary Authority status happened. Would someone who knows about such things please rectify? --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 12:23, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My thanks to whoever updated the article with that info. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:18, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Scandal or controversy[edit]

The barrister's opinion that planning conditions were missed as a result of "human error", there was "no untoward conduct." says pretty clearly to me that the word "scandal" is not appropriate. Had he found corruption or "gross dereliction of duty", then "scandal" would indeed be appropriate. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 09:48, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@JMF That's a fair point to make. I initially thought that "scandal" sounded better because "controversy" sounded like a personifying term to me. Although I'm sure many of the residents certainly view it as a scandal, hence the local election results in the Newport Pagnell South Ward. Anonymous MK2006 (talk) 11:23, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
