Whoa
[edit]Woah, Nelly! The 68050 was a real project within Motorola - if not resulting in a shipping project (Wikipedia has numerous articles on projects which did not result in products, Microsoft Bob comes to mind), the previous page is not being re-created and encyclopaedic content is indeed being presented. Further, pages such as 68040 are linking to this one. Wayne Hardman (talk) 21:58, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Adding also that CSD G4 (which is why this SD was requested) does not apply - The page bears no resemblance to that which was voted for SD. This is an abuse of the SD procedure if anything Wayne Hardman (talk) 22:02, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- If you believe this to be verifiable, do you have sources? Mdwh (talk) 03:19, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Only an admin can see the actual previous content but the previous discussion at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Motorola_68050 is pretty clear that he nomination is because the product never existed. There is absolutely nothing in the current article which challenges that - there are no attempts to establish notability at all. Ros0709 (talk) 06:29, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- On re-checking, it appears the one link in the article may be original article content. So it's not a WP:RS. Ros0709 (talk) 06:49, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it states "From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia" so it is a circular reference (and as you say, presumably it's from the original version of the article). I'll remove it, as it's not valid. Mdwh (talk) 13:21, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
