HL-60 versus HL-60(TB)

[edit]

I am not able to find anything about the relation between HL-60 and HL-60(TB), at least not with a quick search. What I can find is that they are at least very similar, not only by name. Cellosaurus entries:

MDA-MB-231 versus MDA-MB-231/ATCC

[edit]

I am slightly hesitant: Cellosaurus appears to treat MDA-MB-231/ATCC as being the same as MDA-MB-231, but MDA-MB-231/ATCC is not listed as synonym. This differs from other similar cases like A-549 respectively A-549/ATCC. See [1]. This is relevant, because now the table row for MDA-MB-231/ATCC is used as description of MDA-MB-231. Note: ATCC designates the source of supply and stands for American Type Culture Collection. Tomdo08 (talk) 17:17, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A similar case is 786-0 (NCI page) versus 786-O (Cellosaurus: [2]). Tomdo08 (talk) 18:56, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The NCI appears to consistently use "786-0", see [3]. Tomdo08 (talk) 06:44, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
