"Eye of God"?
[edit]Who calls this the "Eye of God" galaxy? The nickname is only mentioned in the first sentence, and the cite listed for that sentence (NED) makes no mention of the nickname. The first page of DDG search results for "'Eye of God' galaxy" is hits for NGC7293 (the "Eye of God nebula" and a completely different object) and results effectively quoting this page. Who actually calls it the "Eye of God Galaxy"?
Wikipedia should avoid multiplying nicknames for astronomical objects, since they are almost never official or authoritative; many aren't even really Wikipedia:COMMONNAME, and that appears to be the case here. That nickname should be removed from this galaxy, and probably many others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2401:E180:8880:EF68:8922:DEAB:DC4E:3C81 (talk) 12:50, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
