Classification of Labour members
[edit]For the first National Government, would the Labour members not be better classified as Labour (with red) rather than National Labour? When the government was formed in August 1931, they were all members of the Labour Party and in fact National Labour did not exist. It wasn't created until an election was on the cards. All the evidence is that the Labour members intended to return to their party until they were expelled on 28th September. Therefore, would it not make sense for the Labour members of the government to be listed as Labour members as this is what they were when the government was formed - then like the Liberal John Pybus there can be a note saying they were expelled and joined the newly created National Labour group? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Porphrogenita (talk • contribs) 08:07, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
