Starting off
[edit]There is a lot of work to be done, but if this competition really takes off there will be even more to do:
A lot of the details are up in the air about this, but when they announce everything I think that a new title for the page would be appropriate; as the logo indicates that the league will be known as the NRL. A better name for the page might then be NRL (US) in keeping with the format of Super League (Europe).
Also, please when editing, use references and do not just cut and past from the NRLUS website.
Happy editing. Rugbyhelp (talk) 23:42, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Relationship with AMNRL
[edit]Should the article contain a section about the relationship (if any) with AMNRL? NtheP (talk) 12:00, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Forums as sources
[edit]I've noticed a bunch of forum gossip being added and removed and re-added. Before this becomes just a bunch of "undo edits", this question should be solved. According to Wikipedia:Verifiability#Self-published_sources_(online_and_paper) forums, blogs, etc. should generally NOT be used as sources. I tend to agree with this. Although the person who posted the information on the forum claims to be in direct contact with the president of the new league, there is nothing that substantiates that. I am sure that some more experienced user involved in the rugby league project could help resolve this.Rugbyhelp (talk) 03:29, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Forums are not reliable sources. I have removed the unsourced material. florrie 07:24, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Some of the info is back with a source that mentions Rutgerson by name, but how is that NRLUS news? The Axemen are an AMNRL team, at least for the time being. That looks more like preparation for the AMNRL season than for a future competition they are not committed to join. Also there is NO source for Daniel Wagon joining the AMNRL, so I am getting tired of seeing his name come up on these pages.Rugbyhelp (talk) 12:24, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- The Rutgerson stuff was OR anyway - ie, not supported by the ref other than a mention of his name (Players to watch include Simon Moate, Sean Rutgerson and Brent Shorten.) and nothing to do with coaching etc. The other regarding the under 20's player was better suited to their team page. I removed the para. florrie 23:22, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
