Vidian nerve or vidian nerve (without capitalising)?
[edit]It is a common mistake to think about the word vidian as an eponym, but in fact it is an adjective. Some English texts (for instance Gray's) refer to the nerve of pterygoid with "Vidian" nerve, with a capital V, yet other authors prefer vidian. Although it is not completely incorrect to use the capitalised form, wouldn't it be more appropriate to use the lowercase v as vidian is an adjective?
