Bultmann was not a supporter of the Christ myth theory[edit]

I want to be very clear: despite the title of his book (New Testament and Mythology), Bultmann was never a supporter of the Christ myth theory. In fact, he openly dismissed it as absolutely nonsensical in his book Jesus and the Word, page 17. His idea was that we cannot know anything about the historical Jesus except for the fact that he existed, was baptized by John the Baptist and was crucified; this obviously does not mean that he denied the historicity of Jesus.
