GA Review

[edit]

I am going to put this article on hold briefly until a few prose infelicities can be cleaned up.

  • New York State Route 911E, a part of Lower Warren Street in Queensbury, is one of three unsigned reference routes in Warren County, New York. - What is a "reference route"? Is there a link we could add there?
  • Route 911E was once part New York State Route 32B, of a spur of NY 32. - Unclear what this means.
  • The highway is now reserved to become a touring route with the designation of New York State Route 656. - Unclear what this means - what does "reserved" mean? Does that mean it is not yet a touring route? What is a touring route?
  • Could we add a caption to the map, indicating that the red line is NY SR 911E?
  • NY 254 becomes Lower Warren Street on its way to Hudson Falls in Washington County - Does this happen after the end of 911E? If so, why is it mentioned?
  • The 2007 New York State Department of Transportation Route Log lists an entry for New York State Route 656 along this route.[6] There is not a set time for the conversion from a reference route to a touring route.[1] - What does this mean?
  • Do we need the "Notes" section in the table, since there are no notes?
  • I'm just going to ask because I am sure this will be asked elsewhere - are we sure we need an article on this road? Is it conceivable that this article could be merged into another article?
  • Sorry, I wasn't talking about a redirect, I was suggesting that perhaps this road could be discussed in conjunction with another road in the same article. What is the reason that this article exists by itself? Awadewit (talk) 17:09, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
NY 254 covers some of it as well. This is exists by itself for a FTC that I don't wanna get used for cherry-picking.Mitch32 17:11, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
But NY 254 doesn't cover all of it? Awadewit (talk) 17:13, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Somewhat, but if the redesignation to NY 656, then 656 would be merged out of 254 once again as it is a seperate state route. Also, I'm sure there's some turnpike info I haven't found yet - Give me a day or two and I can see if some info on the construction of this is helpful.Mitch32 17:16, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

I hope these suggestions are helpful! Awadewit (talk) 16:45, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
