The company was founded in 2007 and and is now represented in 15 countries – including Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Spain, France, Portugal and Italy (with its own subsidiaries) – and by a large partner network in Europe. NFON is therefore the only pan-European provider of telephone systems from the cloud. == History == NFON was founded in 2007 by Marcus Otto, Mathias Edelmann and Fabian Hoppe. The company has developed rapidly since its inception – most recently with sales growth of approximately 32% (2019/2020). NFON now has over 40,000 customers, over 500,000 so-called “seats” installed at customers’ premises and more than 2,700 partners. Just two years after it was founded, NFON brought the first cloud-based telephone system (also called Private Branch Exchange - PBX) onto the market. In the years that followed, the company focused on expanding its partner network within Europe. In 2016, Ncontactcenter and Neorecording were added to its product portfolio. Just one year later, the cloud telephone system Cloudya – today the brand’s core product – was introduced. At the beginning of 2019, NFON took over the company Deutsche Telefon Standard GmbH, followed by Onwerk GmbH at the end of 2019. == Management == Since December 2020, the company has been under the collective management of Dr. Klaus von Rottkay (CEO) and Jan-Peter Koopmann (CTO). The company currently has 435 employees (as at 31 December 2020). == Financial figures == In May 2018, NFON went public on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Prime Standard listing). In the 2019 financial year, the company generated revenues of 57.1 million euros. This represented an increase of 32.7% in overall revenues compared to the previous year. The value of its shares has increased by around 44% since the IPO. {| class="wikitable" id="ganzoben" |+ id="Ü-id"| |- id="K-id" |- id="Sprungziel1" | '''Million EUR''' || '''2019''' || '''2018''' || '''Change in %''' |- {{Anker|Sprungziel2}} | Overall revenues || 57.1 || 43.0 || 32.7 |- | Recurring revenues || 48.1 || 34.6 || 38.9 |- | Share of recurring revenues in overall sales (in %) || 84.1|| 80.4 || |- | Non-recurring revenues ||9.1 || 8.4 || 0.7 |} == Products == NFON offers products for cloud telephony in the B2B area. Its core product is Cloudya, a digital telephone system. All NFON products have the highest data security certification that can be obtained in Germany. This was also certified by Deutsche Telekom. * '''Cloudya''' is an intuitive cloud telephone system that provides a complete PBX system and works irrespective of the device and location. All end devices, regardless of whether these are telephone, PC or internet, can be reached using the same number. Video telephony is also possible with Cloudya Meet & Share. * '''Ncontactcenter''' turns Cloudya into a fully-fledged contact centre. This enables digital, effective and transparent communication processes via the user’s web browser across all channels. * '''Nvoice for Microsoft Teams''' integrates cloud telephony into the familiar Microsoft Teams environment and also makes it possible to add external participants to a conversation. * '''Nhospitality''' was specially developed for the hospitality industry (hotels), business centres and co-working spaces (reservations for various customers). With this product, the user can temporarily switch off individual telephone numbers when not running at full capacity. * '''Neorecording''' ensures legal recording of conversations for purposes of quality management and analysis. In addition, this means that individual conversations can also be used as evidence in court. This is in particular of importance for financial institutions and government agencies. * '''NCTI''' makes it possible for external tools such as Outlook, telephones and CRM tools to be combined into a computer interface. NCTI Pro additionally offers a messaging feature. * '''NMQs''' are used to organise calls for call centres and reception desks in order to monitor how many calls are received and how long the respective waiting times are. This is especially useful for increasing call quality for end customers. * '''Nconnect Voice''' is a telephony solution that uses VoIP technology and supports all common ISDN features. By connecting an old PBX system to the cloud, the system becomes “cloud ready” without the need to replace the previous telephone system. == Charitable work == NFON supports sustainable projects such as Enactus, an independent organisation that solves social and environmental problems with an entrepreneurial approach. In addition, NFON contributes to climate neutrality through its involvement with Climate Partners. == Awards == * 2017 Focus Wachstum Champion (“Growth Champion”) * 2017 FT 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies * 2017 Frost & Sullivan Growth Excellence Leadership Award * 2019 Tagesschau: “Product of the Year” for NFON Cloudya * 2019 FOX Finance Visuals * 2019 FOX Finance Visuals * 2020 Frost & Sullivan Radar 10 Growth and Innovation Leaders == References == {{reflist}} [[Category:VoIP companies of Germany]] [[Category:Companies based in Munich]] |
Explanation of issue: the information are outdated
- Hi Sporty1997 and thanks for complying with our COI best practices. However, your suggested changes are not implemented for now. Your proposed rewrite is not supported by reliable sources for the most part, and there is a substantial amount of promotional language in it, to the point where it looks like an advertisement to me. In addition, the products section strikes me as very excessive; Wikipedia is not a product catalogue. If you can address these issues, I'm sure we'll be able to implement your proposed changes. Hi Blablubbs, can you exact tell me at which section we are to promotional? So that we can change this part. And Shall we maybe reduce the description of the product and just mention the product name? Looking forward hearing from you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:16B8:680C:8D00:9425:D26D:2815:D58F (talk) 12:00, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
