Include this (TED talk controversy)

Too Hot for TED: Income Inequality Palosirkka (talk) 14:53, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

That would not be a good idea. The National Journal, far from a reliable source on many things, received portions of private correspondence from NH and built a case of censorship out of thin air, as the TED's Chris Anderson has taken the time to explain. Let's not spread toxic media assets and leave them rot as they should. You can actually judge the talk by yourself and reach the same conclusions -- e.g. the graph at 3:40 uses a metric that is disingenuous to study growth rate over time series (cf. comments on Lane Kenworthy's blog about inequality, where the same kind of issue was raised). ---- phnk (talk) 18:33, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Here's how this issue could be added. State that Nick Hanauer did a TED talk that was not uploaded to their site. Hanauer felt it was was not included because of the issue discussed, and that he was in effect censored. However, Chris Anderson (TED curator) stated it wasn't uploaded due to the talk being partisan and unconvincing. What do people think? There was a line stating that Hanauer's graphs in the TED Talk video were inaccurate. The only citation provided was an individual's Google+ post, which itself doesn't cite any sources, so I've taken the liberty of excising that statement until someone can provide more compelling evidence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.166.255.115 (talk) 18:58, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
That has been re-added, with an additional Google+ link by the same individual containing an IRS link that turned out to be broken. This is clearly not a reliable source and not acceptable as currently cited (see WP:BLP), so I re-excised it. Sboucher (talk) 00:34, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
