Birthday

I know that most sites list her birthday as being 17 January 1988, but I heard from someone on IMDb that her birthday is actually in February. Can anyone confirm her birthdate? Stephe1987 07:57, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

She moved out?

Well, it's not ILLEGAL, but I guess I'm asking even if she got emancipated, how did she survive? Her parents were divorced, she wasn't exactly wealthy (unless I misread but the article doesn't mention it) and if you live on your own you still need a steady income -- pay the laundry and toilet bills, buy food, buy school supplies and clothes, etc. If she was only fourteen, how could she get a job? I thought you couldn't get a job until you were sixteen. Did she just take up some junky McDonald's shift to survive, until she graduated? Why sigh, cutie pie? 22:36, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

In Austria, it's legally possible to get court to separate you from your parents and to make the state your legal guardian, who would from then onwards provide for your shelter, nutritution and education until you're an adult. In the US you can get a job at fourteen. But, you can't move-out legally "whenever". I would be interested to learn more about this because it is unusual for someone so young to be emancipated. Achromasia (talk) 01:52, 27 December 2008 (UTC)Kassie Achromasia

I was told that you actually can move out whenever you want, at least here in California and I believe New York as well. The problem would be supporting yourself. How many kids in high school actually know how to cook, go grocery shopping, drive well, and on top of all that, are able to keep it all up and work a good eight or nine hours (sometimes overtime; with this kind of experience, I doubt it would be good pay either) five or six days a week? No, Privileged is a movie (see IMDb). Also, if someone issues a free image on their website, they'll usually link the Creative Commons website. ~ ς ح д r خ є ~ 00:00, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Contradiction

I might be making myself seem stupid here, but in her 'early life' section it says she was emancipated at 14, but in 'personal life' it says she was home-schooled. Isnt this a contradiction that cant be true, or is there information thats missing?--Stripy Socks (talk) 18:57, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
