Come on theres gotta be more someone can add to this page! this is one of the great sci fi novels!
- I might be able to do something about this if I can find the time. I only read the book last year. Even so, I'll need to go back to refresh my memory because I think there are some small inaccuracies in the article. Astronaut 18:45, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
I just read this book. My question is: Is the fundamental idea pioneering, or had there been similar stories predating this that feature people aboard a huge ship who did not realize it?--Jrm2007 (talk) 13:18, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Would not Heinlein's 1941 story Universe be an earlier if not the earliest example of this idea?--Jrm2007 (talk) 15:41, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Title
[edit]The Brian Aldiss page says that this was published in the US under a different title, which gives away part of the plot. What was that ? -- Beardo 04:16, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Aha - it was "Starship" -- Beardo 04:20, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Not really a spoiler, as it's revealed that they live in corridors and cabins, the ground is called the deck within the first few pages, and the "myth" of the world/ship is also discussed briefly in the first part of the novel. 77.98.223.49 (talk) 08:47, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Psychic Interrogation Scene
[edit]In terms of literaray innovation and notable scenes in the novel, should there be a mention of the scene in which Complain is kidnapped by the 'Giants' and then briefly interrogated by an insane psychic rabbit? (Note to moderators: This actually happens!) Brakespeare22 (talk) 03:27, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
