how to draft

[edit]

Hi all,

I am so used to writing essays about articles like Asheim's that it only just dawned on me that we can't do that here. I just looked up other famous articles in Wikipedia to see how those entries were structured. The headers were often something like Title, Background, Summary, Influence, References, External Links. Just a thought, but maybe we could decide on a set of headers and then each take one to write. We could then switch if needed for a second set of eyes on each section, or we could all just review the complete entry. At least this way we wouldn't risk stepping on each other's toes or waste time thinking about something someone else already has worked on. Like I said, it's just a thought. How does that sound to you?

Sounds good! Should we just relabel the header that is there now to Summary? Lavoiekh (talk) 05:10, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, we could just relabel the header. As you seem to be working on that section, maybe I will take the Influence section. Hopefully I can get something together pretty soon. HalSmitty (talk) 15:32, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • For "influence" you might try doing a literature search, and also refer or discuss directly some of the articles that have been about the Asheim article. Getting some kind of a # of citations is sometimes helpful also. --Lquilter (talk) 13:32, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's sounds like a good approach. Thanks! HalSmitty (talk) 18:16, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I added the section as discussed. If anyone wants to add to it, that's fine with me. HalSmitty (talk) 19:15, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I added more to the summary and the same goes for that: please change/add/remove/elaborate as you see fit.Lavoiekh (talk) 19:48, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The page looks good. Is there anything that I should add? I was going to work on it some more but it looks like we covered most of it. Frankelfrankel (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 22:37, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
