Notion is not a common philosophical concept?

The article indicates that notion is the common translation of Hegel's "Begriff" - which isn't true anymore, the more common word used now to translate "Begriff" is "concept." Additionally, it's not clear from the article that this is in any way related to "notion" as mentioned by Descartes.

What it appears that we have here is a case where two different philosophers who wrote in two different languages both used words that one of their translators chose to translate into English as "notion." But no indication that those two concepts are directly related other than WP:SYNTH. I'm going to redirect this to Concept as the more common translation of Hegel. - car chasm (talk) 14:47, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
