What is a Secret?

[edit]

Regardless of what may be stated in the book or discussions about the book, I don't believe using data in the ways Baker covers is itself a secret. The specific methods may be closely guarded secrets, but not that such methods are employed. I guess is comes down to what defines something as essentially being secret. Real Advanced Predictive Analytics are in place now... Numerati too

[edit]

The Numerati is only the evolution of the the top information generation. The extension of brain analytical capabilities and the merge of sciences and technologies through innovation is increasing exponentially.

The increasing computational power, the newer algorithmic advance, the merge of disciplines like medicine, maths, finance, manufacturing, psichiatry, etc and our constant access of digital devices in the time makes a multidimensional, n-dimensional (Rn) scenarios that can be analyzed and even predicted with high degree of accurancy.

Our behaivor is not as rational as we belive, our biological cicles can be transformed with our attitudes and viceversa... the rationale of the "Homo-Economicus" has failed and the depression, the axiety and stress is opening new markets.

Human and Organizational Relisince is being analized by Numerati in order to discover new patterns in our behavior to make us survive in a more adaptative world.

Evolution never ends, the food chain extends its limits beyond our imagination... among human kind. That is where the Numerati must be: Modeling the future, predicting a better world, making a safer and more sustainable planet.
