Was Bill the character that killed O-ren's Father in her Anime flashback? Good Question! I wish I knew.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't, I think it was just an unknown Yakuza.

The assassin who kills O-Ren Ishii's Father

[edit]

In fear of sounding somewhat racist, the assassin could not possibly be Bill. He is definitely, without doubt, 100 % asian. He is also lankier than Bill, has a lighter voice and just... well, it couldn't be him.

He does have some rings on his fingers that the camera seems to pay extra attention too. I only recently saw the O-Ren Ishii animation only, but judging from the character design, unless the designer took some severe liberties with Bill's character, the man who murders her father is a nameless yakuza thug.

Tarantino has confirmed the fact that it is Bill that killed O-Ren's father. Also, the sword that she used is not the same as the one used by Matsumoto to kill her father.

It's strange that Tarantino confirmed that. I checked the sword, and it wasn't the one that Bill had throughout the two films. It also doesn't seem like Bill would be on a mission such as that; killing some people that just happened to be on Matsumoto's "bad list". In addition to this, if it was Bill, why didn't Tarantino use David Carradine's voice? I've never done discussion on wikipedia before, so I don't know if I'm supposed to just make statements. But is it sure that it was Tarantino himself that made the confirmation? (I haven't seen the confirmation, so I don't know whether he was seen saying it, or if it was just text. In which case, it could be an imposter.)
