Why is Moustache spelled wrong[edit]

Seriously, it is disgusting how many times it is misspelled. I propose this page be changed to "Occurrence and perceptions of moustaches" and all instances of mustache replaced with the correct spelling of Moustache. Bakudai (talk) 03:10, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that "mustache" has been the dominant spelling in the US since the 1970s (see the first reference on the Moustache page for a dictionary discussion). Klbrain (talk) 08:48, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, as this page covers the social implications of the mustache that are not necessarily covered by the existing wikipedia pages. Instead of focusing on the question "What is a mustache?" and providing examples of the different examples of mustaches as the already existing page does, this page is focused more on "What does the mustache mean and why?" Therefore, it is clear to see that this page holds a very separate and important role when compared with the existing page. In addition to this, everything within the page is well-reasearched and relies only on peer-reveiwed journal articles and can as such be taken as truthful and verifiable. This article is both a necessary and reliable contribution to the knowledge base of wikipedia and should not be deleted.
