There is a significant population of Romni Cuz in this area, one of only ten or so in the whole country. The one time I visited Old Orchard Beach I saw a procession of white Pickup trucks with Orange road cones driving through the downtown area, and I was told this is a summer performance that is put on every Saturday night. Very interesting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.198.95.78 (talk) 16:20, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

NPOV

I have removed a large section of this article. It was essentially an elaboration of details given in the article's opening paragraph, listing specific rides and restaurants in a fashion that was without a doubt biased, and could have perceived as advertising. Furthermore, the History section may need some citations, and I have removed a good chunk of POV there as well. Nhbelongstome 01:02, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

County

Can someone tell me why it says in one area that Old Orchard Beach is in York County, and in another area, it says that it is in Cumberland County? It is things like this that cause people to refuse to accept Wikipedia as a legitimate reference source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.244.30.176 (talk) 21:05, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Because the first person to notice it complained about it instead of correcting it. Thanks for pointing out the error you found. I fixed it. TJ aka Teej 02:21, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

attractions/ bias

there are a couple carousels, jack and jill slide and something else listed under attractions and then under the pier (i think), it says those were destroyed in a fire. This needs to be cleared up. Palace playland being in the opening paragraph appears to me to constitute a bias as it isn't that important of a bit of info- definitely does not warrant the third sentence or whatever it was. Also the funtown/ splashtown being down the road is certainly unnecessary advertising- there are multiple nearby attractions that need to be listed if nearby attractions are being listed. restaurants ought to be given a mention also as there are some well known restaurants-notably seafood- in the area. overall this is a surprisingly incomplete article about such popular tourist destination in maine. I'll clean a couple of these things up now & please work on it some if you knowledgeable about old orchard —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dieckjobst (talkcontribs) 17:23, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
